Joe Esposito has posted an interesting piece on Scholarly Kitchen entitled, "The Face-down Publishing Paradigm." It is available here: http://bit.ly/duxARX The essay is, in Joe's words, "an attempt to integrate thinking about mobile (face-down) computing with real-time data-mining in the Cloud." As attendees of the recent Charleston Conference can attest, there is much interest and uncertainty regarding cloud computing, mobile devices, tablets, and other potentially transformative technologies. This piece is a good contribution to our industry's ongoing discussion of these issues.
