In the e-journal world, the ILL 'single copy' issue is catered for in many publisher licences, including the NESLi2 licence in the UK, with (a version of) the following clause: [Authorised Users may]: supply to an authorised user of another library (whether by post, fax or secure electronic transmission, using Ariel or its equivalent, whereby the electronic file is deleted immediately after printing) a single paper copy of an electronic original of an individual document; If subscribers to this list-serv know of equivalent licence clauses for eBooks, please share them. John Cox /et al /have drafted some plausible options (http://www.licensingmodels.org/E-bookLicense.html). Sarah Durrant Red Sage Consulting Email: sarah@redsage.org
