June 7, 2002 Dear LibLicense-L, Since Rick Anderson's posting of May 25th, has anyone had success in renegotiating the Classification Web End-User License? (http://www.loc.gov/cds/classweb.html). Has anyone been able to negotiate with the Publisher to alter the wording in the signed hard-copy license, but then to initiate the subscription afterwards have to register through the click-through license? The license agreement does stipulate that the "hard-copy license will take legal precedence over the click-through license." Thanks, Liz Lorbeer, Collection Development Manager Elizabeth_R_Lorbeer@rush.edu Library of Rush University Chicago, IL 60611 v: 312-942-2282 F: 312-942-3143
