Institutions can decide to join at any time during the term of the agreement and will be bound until the end of the agreement period. For a fixed annual payment of =A38,995 for Higher Education institutions or =A31,995 for Further Education institutions, electronic access will be provided to more than 100 MCB journals that make up Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext both on-line and as a CD-ROM database until 31st December 2003. CHEST and MCB University Press are delighted to have negotiated this excellent agreement, which is open to Higher and Further Education in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands. Nigel Lodge, Director of CHEST, said "This is one of four products from MCB for which CHEST has negotiated terms which are fixed for five years. The products enable the academic community to have electronic access to an additional wealth of specialist fulltext article and abstract information in a number of subject areas. Emerald Intelligence + Fulltext delivers desktop access to a world leading library of management research journals. The service provides instant access to more than 20,000 management articles from more than 100 journals with a fulltext archive stretching back to 1994 (with abstracts to 1989). Areas of coverage include: operations and production management, economics, marketing and logistics, training and education, human resource management, library management, property management, information management, quality management and engineering. Further material is added on a monthly basis. Major service features are as follows: * three CD-ROMs per year with fulltext archive (1994 - date); * online database, updated monthly, with full database archive (1994 - date); * discounted hardcopy journals available as an optional extra; and * table of contents by email service.
