(Apologies for cross-posting) Dear List Members I thought the following online discussion would be of interest to list members: ******** Electronic Publishing: Librarian and Publisher Challenges, Now and Beyond 21st Century ******** - An MCB &Library Link IFLA '98 workshop The MCB and Library Link workshop held at IFLA '98 was a great success. It was attended by over 70 people and resulted in three simultaneous debates on the introduction and support for Internet and CD-ROM based product in libraries, and by library users - along with other pertinent issues concerning electronic information. Three key discussion areas were drawn from the workshop: 1. The Value Added Role for Future Librarians and Information Professionals 2. Information Technology in Developing Countries 3. The Future of Electronic Journals To join the debate, gain access to the views of the 70 people who attended the workshop, along with the countless librarians and information professionals who posted comments prior to the workshop, and make your voice heard at the library link discussion forum at http://www.mcb.co.uk/liblink/discussion.html
