Re: Science Online

We, at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Library are
also very unhappy with the method AAAS has devised for offering Science
Online, and we have discontinued our subscription.

We find the limit to online access within the library too restrictive and
the concept of allocating certain workstations for specific products a
distinct step backward. If our users have to walk all the way from their
offices/homes to the library to use Science, it is just as convenient for
them to consult the hard copy. The designation of IP address of the
workstations for products is not only difficult for the library to
administer but also confusing to our users. So, even though we think that
Science Online is an enhanced product over the printed version, we decided
to forego the online version at this time.
