Non-disclosure

Subject: Non-disclosure

This is a clause we have encountered with one or more large and
important information providers. In our recent case, here's what
we did:

Being under time pressure our library has signed the licensing contract
for 1997 as it stands, but with explicit remarks about two paragraphs:

- non-disclosure terms
- governing laws (Pennsylvania)

I made it clear to the provider that we want these paragraphs to be
discussed before we enter the second year of the contract. Whilst I
perfectly understand that some items remain on the non-disclosure list I
cannot understand why and do not accept that the entire contract falls
under the non-disclosure committment. I am therefore very glad that we
have raised the matter on the Liblicense platform.
