AMICO
I heard recently about a new organization formed by a number of art museums to collectively license their images to educational institutions. They call the undertaking AMICO, for Art Museum Image Consortium, and they plan to develop a license agreement for educational use of museum digital content. They have a web site at http://www.amn.org/AMNhtml/AMNhome.htm Has anyone heard anything about this? Apparently there will be opportunities for potential licensees to have input into the form of the license agreement. It appears that the effort is to provide educational institutions with the rights to do pretty much what they would like to do with museum images. What do folks think?
