**Please Excuse the Multiple Postings** REMINDER: Due September 24th In honor of the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Annual Charleston Conference, HARRASSOWITZ is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to attend the 2010 Conference that will take place November 3-6, in Charleston, SC. Applicants are asked to write an essay of no more than 1000 words on the topic: "Libraries and Vendors: Working together to survive tough economic times" Essays should be sent to scholarship@harrassowitz.de by September 24, 2010 and HARRASSOWITZ will notify the winner of the scholarship on October 12, 2010. Applicants must currently work as a librarian or a para-professional in a library and provide a brief resume. All applications will be acknowledged and reviewed by a panel of librarians. All applicants will be notified of the results and the scholarship award must be used for the 2010 conference. About the Conference: Begun in 1980 as an informal gathering of librarians, publishers, and vendors to discuss topics of common interest, the Charleston Conference has grown into an annual event of more than 1,000 participants.
