Re: Mellon Foundation Annual Report



I'd like to second Ann's excellent suggestion--definitely worth 
the time.

Also worth the time is the President's report at the beginning of 
the full annual report at 
<http://www.mellon.org/news_publications/annual-reports-essays/annual-reports/>, 
which is about 20 pages of presbyopic-accessible type. In 
addition to a 40,000 ft. view of a number of interesting 
initiatives, there's a glimpse into the cost centers in higher 
education that one rarely gets. As this issue has all of the 
clarity of pea soup to most people, it's worth the read for this 
alone.
