I'd like to second Ann's excellent suggestion--definitely worth the time. Also worth the time is the President's report at the beginning of the full annual report at <http://www.mellon.org/news_publications/annual-reports-essays/annual-reports/>, which is about 20 pages of presbyopic-accessible type. In addition to a 40,000 ft. view of a number of interesting initiatives, there's a glimpse into the cost centers in higher education that one rarely gets. As this issue has all of the clarity of pea soup to most people, it's worth the read for this alone. Best regards, Eliz Elizabeth E.
