Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) & World Scientific

Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) renews ejournal agreement with 
world Scientific

National Science Library, CAS (formerly known as CAS Central 
Library) has recently signed a renewal agreement with World 
Scientific. World Scientific will be providing 48 electronic 
journals to be accessed by four of CAS's libraries (Main library 
and 3 other branches). The agreement is for 3 years and 
researchers and scientists from CAS will be able to access 
contents published from 2001 onwards. Access will be via 
Worldscinet, World Scientific's electronic resource platform.

Additionally we have a separate agreement under Worldscinet China 
Consortium (WSNCC). WSNCC is a consortia set up by World 
Scientifc for universities in China and currently has around 200 
members that has access to 86 World Scientific journals. 
Academics and students from the participating member institutes 
will be able to access the World Scientific electronic contents 
until the end of 2009.

World Scientific also has current consortial deals in countries 
like Brazil, Korea, Russia , Taiwan, Ireland, Iran, Australia, 
New Zealand and Malaysia.

World Scientific Publishing Company is a leading independent STM

Among the company's notable successes was its being awarded the 
exclusive rights in 1991 by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm to 
publish (in English) the entire series of Nobel lectures from
