Greetings;
I am looking for a librarian to participate in a presentation with me at the upcoming Charleston conference.
I have proposed a a two part presentation: "What the heck do publishers do all day?" followed by "What the heck do librarians do all day?"
I proposed this because I am often dismayed by the lack of understanding or appreciation for the valuable work publishers do, and by the same token, as a publisher I have little understanding of the valuable(?) :-} work librarians do. I was amazed at the last Charleston conference to experience the light hostility each party has for the other.
My goal for the panel is to be educational, and perhaps have an entertaining controversy.
