Royal Society Publishing is pleased to announce that Biology Letters (launched in 2005) has received its first Impact Factor of 2.00. This places it 6th out of the 51 journals in its category. Journal of the Royal Society Interface (launched in 2004) has moved from its first impact factor of 0.727 last year to 2.597 this year, which places it at 4th rank in its category*. Proceedings of the Royal Society A, Proceedings of the Royal Society B and Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A also enjoyed increases in impact factor from last year.
