Licensing Forum To Kick Off NISO's 2007 Education Program PALINET Cosponsoring Sessions on Issues and Solutions for Librarians On June 11, NISO and PALINET will present a one-day forum, Traversing the Licensing Terrain: Emerging Issues and Innovative Solutions. The conference, to be held at the PALINET offices in Philadelphia, features licensing experts from the legal, service- and content-provider, and library communities. The agenda will include presentations and discussions on: * Licensing: A State-of-the-Art Review * Licensing & Legal Issues * Licensing: New Times, New Models * Serials, E-books, Multimedia, Games, and More - How Formats Impact Licensing * Standards: Providing a Solution for License Management Issues * Panel Discussion / Q&A: What Next? Speakers include Ivy Anderson, Director of Collection Development and Management, California Digital Library; Katherine Duff, Licensing & Permissions Manager, Journals Division, The University of Chicago Press; Judy Luther, President, Informed Strategies; Christine Martire, Director of Strategic Partnerships, PALINET; Ted Koppel, Verde Product Manager, Ex Libris; Trisha L. Davis, Rights Management Coordinator and Head, Serials & E-Resources Department Chair, Ohio State University Libraries; and Jennifer Weintraub, Digital Collections Specialist, Yale University Library.
