"If money were freely available from whatever sources, is there any argument against OA?" Money is at the core of the debate over Open Access publication. Money is the root of the crisis in scholarly communication. Take away that factor and your argument has no value. We haven't found the perfect solution that provides excellent peer review, editing, and content at a price that everyone can afford. Open Access is one solution suggested, but it still comes down to the problem of the high cost of scholarly publishing and who will pay for it in the end. Anna
