FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 11th January 2006, Cambridge, England, UK, & New York, USA Cambridge University Press is pleased to announce the inclusion of its Online Journals in INASP?s PERI programme for 2006. PERI (Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information) is an initiative to provide online research publications to developing countries. It is administered by INASP (International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications). Through PERI, the Full List of 196 Cambridge Journals plus two free web sites is now available to the developing world. The journals are all high-quality peer-reviewed titles covering a wide range of subject areas. It is hoped that they will inform and encourage further research across many disciplines, increasing knowledge and learning in all the countries involved. About INASP INASP is a development charity that has been working to enhance worldwide access to information since 1992. INASP undertakes a variety of programmes in response to locally identified needs and requests. Capacity strengthening and sustainability are central to all their activities. Education and research Bandwidth Management and Optimisation: INASP provide training, tools and resources to support institutional development and enhance information access and communication. Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information (PERI): PERI supports research by facilitating access to global information and supporting publication of in-country research findings. It also provides information skills training for researchers, practitioners, librarians and publishers. Health INASP provide support to create, exchange and use health information. Library Support Programme (LSP) INASP assist the development of library services and the work of information management professionals by supporting access to information and local skills development. Publishing Support Initiatives (PSI) INASP provide editors and publishers with training and resources for traditional and online publishing. Rural INASP provide support to create, exchange and use rural and agricultural information.
