Rafat Ali's blog today (http://paidcontent.org) reports that various
entertainment groups are in discussions with Google for revenue-sharing
for ads presented in conjunction with the entertainment companies'
proprietary material. Yahoo apparently has already negotiated such a
deal. There is a model here for how much or all of proprietary textual
content could be brought onto the Web for all to see. Naturally, like all
workable solutions, it will fully satisfy no one.
