Collections join the California Digital Library's wealth of scholarly
resources

Fulfilling its mission to harness technology and innovation and leverage
the intellectual and cultural resources of the University of California,
the California Digital Library (CDL) recently acquired the award-winning
SAGE Full-Text Collections.

Blaise R. Simqu, SAGE's President and CEO said, "We're pleased to be
helping CDL expand its already impressive volume of digital information
resources by providing the stunning wealth of social science journals
comprising the SAGE Full-Text Collections."  Now, all ten University of
California campuses will have complete access to these significant,
scholarly electronic collections.

The SAGE Full-Text Collections are full-text research databases of over
220 of the most popular peer-reviewed journals published by SAGE and
participating societies. The Collections are available in ten disciplines
and include up to thirty-six years of back issues. Together, the
Collections comprise over 80,000 articles, book reviews, and editorials,
with all the original graphics and tables in PDF format.

In collaboration with the ten University of California campus libraries,
the California Digital Library licenses new digital content to support
UC academic and research programs. Established in 1997 as a UC library,
the CDL has become one of the largest digital libraries in the world.
