Anyone know what has become of the NIMH's Schizophrenia Bulletin? See narrative at: http://www.nimh.nih.gov/researchfunding/schizbull.cfm It appears that the NIMH has for 35 years published Schizophrenia Bulletin, a high-impact journal (ranked third in citation index for psychiatry journals) designed to report current research in schizophrenia to doctors, patients, and the public. In March 2004, they announced that the NIMH has decided not to go on sponsoring this journal but is exploring new organization for their own web site and are also considering privatizing the journal. This inquiry is prompted by liblicense-l recent thread related to patient information being made widely avaialable. In this case, however, the agency has had to pull sponsorship.
