NISO is hosting a meeting at the upcoming ALA Annual Meeting in Orlando to
update interested parties on the important Metasearch Initiative. All
those interested in metasearch activities--libraries, metasearch vendors,
publishers and aggregators--are encouraged to attend. You will hear about
the current activities of the three metasearch task groups;  and will have
an opportunity to provide your input to this very important initiative.

Andrew Pace, co-chair of this initiative, will provide the introduction
and then each of the three task groups will report on the status of their
activities:

Task Group 1: Access Management, Ted Koppel, TLC
Task Group 2: Collection Description, Julie Blume Nye, Fretwell-Downing
Task Group 3: Search and Retrieve, Matt Goldner, Fretwell-Downing.

This initiative is a very important one and needs your support. Please
come!
