a reply to a preservation experience

In response to Chuck's post on archiving, we would like to note that at
least one commercial publisher has stepped up to the plate.  Elsevier was
among the first publishers to create an independent digital archive with a
trusted institution (the Dutch National Library) and to digitize our full
journal backfile.  Discussions concerning digital archiving and
preservtion continue with other trusted institutions around the world.
