ACRL Scholarly Communications Discussion Group Sunday, 22 June, 2-4 PM MTCC (Convention Centre) Room 206E * Best Practices in Campus Advocacy: The Conversation Continues The ACRL Scholarly Communications Discussion Group offers an opportunity to continue the important discussion that will start at the SPARC/ACRL Forum on Saturday. Three panelists from the Forum -- Randall Ward, Chemistry Librarian, Brigham Young University; Joyce Ogburn, Associate Director of Libraries, University of Washington; and Leslie Chan, Associate Director, Bioline International, University of Toronto -- will summarize their presentations and offer new reflections on the challenges and opportunities facing librarians and faculty, leading off the conversation by members of the discussion group. * Also on the program: an update on the work of the ACRL Scholarly Communications Committee from Dr. Sue Martin, Scholarly Communications Program Officer, and Ray English, Chair. -- Antimerger Campaign news -- Librarians' toolkit -- Orlando Preconference on campus advocacy and more.
