Exciting and challenging opportunity. Creighton University Health Sciences Library seeks candidates for a Serials and Electronic Collections Librarian (RE-OPENED) � Plan, coordinate and manage the overall operation of the Serials Unit. � Manage print and electronic serials subscriptions and other electronic resources, including setting up trials and pilots, vendor negotiations, licensing and implementation, monitoring vendor compliance in conjunction with the director. � Facilitate an interdepartmental serials team responsible for day-to-day serials ordering, tracking, check-in, claiming, preservations, and binding � Serve as a member of the Collection Development Committee � Collect and organize electronic resources use data to support collection development decisions; maintain serials decision database. � Maintain the Library�s electronic journals web page and other electronic resources pages, including authentication procedures, local and remote access, use data analysis � Coordinate serials management efforts with other CU libraries. � Assist in the management of the migration of serials data to SIRSI. � Monitor trends and maintain currency in emerging issues in electronic resources; recommend new ways of organizing and managing electronic resources. Required: MLS from ALA-accredited institution. 3 years�s library experience. Preferred: Supervisory experience. Experience with management of electronic information resources, electronic serials, and print serials. Knowledge of licensing . Membership in Academy of Health Information Professionals. Position is a 12-month academic appointment. Tuition remission for self, spouse, and children. Generous benefit package. Salary negotiable from $31,000.
