My Nature rep called back with revised pricing for the monthlies.  
They're based on physical sciences student and faculty FTE: Up to 999 FTE:
$2300 for the first, then 30%, 25%, 20%.... 1000-2999: $3750.....

He also said all the prices were for early subscribers.  At some point,
possibly not until the next subscription year, they will increase, but
early subscribers will have only a guaranteed 1-2% annual increase in the
early subscription price.
