RE: subscription numbers and licensing 

To answer David Goodman's question about getting subscriber's numbers
for print journals to gain access to the online versions: 

Our Library uses EBSCO Subscription Services.  There is a "PID#"  listed
under each title in the annual subscription renewal invoices sent by
EBSCO, and we tried and found that this PID # is actually the
"Subscriber's" number.  It worked for us, so far. (Please don't think that
I am doing commercials for EBSCO.)  If you don't use EBSCO, I think your
subscription vendor may be able to provide the information in similar
fashion.
