Dear Colleagues:

Please allow me to introduce myself as a member of the Core 
Integration effort of the National Science Digital Library, a 
multifaceted enterprise of the National Science Foundation. I am 
writing today to librarians on the discussion list to request 
that they please consider adding a bibliographic record for NSDL 
to their institution's OPAC. The Library's main interface, 
http://nsdl.org, as well as the vast majority (>95%) of content 
resources described in the database, are free of charge. NSDL is 
a web-based library of topical collections and patron services 
organized in support of science education and resource discovery 
at all levels. The project began with a partnership of NSF-funded 
collections and related ventures and has since grown into the one 
of the most-diverse digital libraries of academic and scholarly 
resources in science online.
