Wiley Acquires International Journal of Medical Robotics to Enhance its
Surgery Portfolio

Chichester, England, September 12, 2005

John Wiley & Sons, Ltd., part of U.S.-based John Wiley & Sons, Inc.,
announced today that it has completed the acquisition of The International
Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery, from Robotic
Publications Ltd.

Wiley will continue to publish the journal, which launched in June last
year, in both print and online on a quarterly basis, beginning with Issue
3 in September 2005. The original editorial team of leading international
experts in the field of robotics and related technologies for medical
applications will continue to work with Wiley to assure the quality and
relevance of the journal's content.

Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery is unique in that it aims
to foster a community that encompasses medical practitioners, researchers
and commercial manufacturers. The coverage is of a highly practical
nature, presented in a form that makes it accessible to all subscribers.

"We are very pleased to have acquired such an authoritative, cutting-edge
journal. The procurement of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted
Surgery enables Wiley to expand our presence in surgery and provide
practical, exciting information to the community of medical practitioners,
robotic and medical system developers and manufacturers," said Deborah
Dixon, Editorial & Business Development Director for Health Science at
Wiley.

Wiley is already established as a leading publisher of surgery journals.
The acquisition supports the company's portfolio of surgery titles that
includes the British Journal of Surgery.

"We are delighted that the journal has been acquired by Wiley," said Dr.
Clive Loughlin, Editor of Robotic Publications Ltd.

"This underlines the quality of the publication and the very high level of
interest that is now being shown in this rapidly developing field. It is
excellent news for the community for whom Wiley's international presence
will aid the wider dissemination of the journal and help spread the word
that a new era of surgery has dawned. Above all, the greatest benefit
will be to patients as new technologies are brought to bare to enhance
clinical outcomes and reduce post operative complications. The editorial
team is looking forward to working with Wiley and to seeing how the
technology is advanced and applied in the years to come."

Currently the journal can be accessed at www.roboticpublications.com.
Wiley plans to make the journal available online to customers through
institutional subscriptions via its electronic content delivery service,
Wiley InterScience which can be accessed at
http://www.interscience.wiley.com.
