Professionals outside librarianship can offer much needed insight into
information services required for success in academic libraries today.
Three distinguished speakers who are "outsiders" to the world of
librarianship will discuss how they perceive the changing world of
academic information.  Their perspectives on user needs will provide a
thought-provoking context for the assessment of information services in
higher education.
