Re: liability language
The recent amendments to the Canadian Copyright Act exempt libraries, schools, archives and museums from liability for illegal photocopying on copy machines on their premises if they post a sign in a specific spot with specific wording (to be set out later in regulations.) However, the institution must have a license agreement with a reprography/photocopying collective. Lesley Ellen Harris libraries@copyrightlaws.com
