Middle Tennessee State University Collection Management Librarian - E-Resource Cataloging MTSU seeks a service oriented librarian responsible for cataloging electronic resources, primarily vendor records for monographic titles. The position reports to the Coordinator of Collection Management. Librarians at MTSU have faculty status and must meet criteria for continuing appointment and tenure. _Primary Responsibilities: _ *Catalogs electronic resources, primarily e-books *Performs and manages the batch loading of MARC records for e-books and other metadata records, including updating and maintenance *Communicates with vendors as needed regarding MARC and other metadata records and resolving technical issues *Maintains an understanding of issues related to the cataloging of e-resources *Provides input to improve service and enhance access to library resources *Works closely with acquisitions and collection assessment librarians to provide reporting and statistical support for e-books and other resources *Documents processes and workflows created and used for collection management operations and solutions *Works closely with Library Systems to coordinate maintenance and resolve problems related to the ILS and collection management computers, including updates and upgrades *Maintains high-quality performance in librarianship, research/scholarship/creative activity, and service _Additional Responsibilities: _ *Assists collection management personnel in developing procedures to manage daily operations, improve workflows, and resolve acquisitions and cataloging problems *Suggests applications that increase efficiency and/or synchronize with the ILS or other systems *Works closely with librarians and staff on special projects in the library *Updates and maintains content of collection management web pages *Provides training for collection management personnel as needed *Catalogs print materials as required /For more information and to apply:/ https://mtsujobs.mtsu.edu/applicants/jsp/shared/position/JobDetails_css.jsp?postingId=186802 Beverly J.
