Apologies for any-cross-posting - forwarded from the digital preservation list on behalf of Liz Mallett (email e.a.mallett@open.ac.uk) ********************** Preservation of ebooks Hello all, I am currently looking into preservation issues around academic ebooks. So far my perceptions are that they are treated in much the same way as ejournals because access to ebook content tends to be via the publisher or aggregator through library subscriptions. My investigations have uncovered Portico as being the most developed programme for preservation of this kind of content, but I wonder if I am missing something. Does anyone on the list specialise in this area? Could anyone give me any pointers? Many thanks Liz Elizabeth Mallett Research and Innovation Projects Manager Library and Learning Resources Centre The Open University Walton Hall Milton Keynes MK7 6AA Tel: 01908 659 806
