- - For immediate release - - HighWire Press and the American College of Chest Physicians are pleased to announce the release of a universal, full-text app of the CHEST Journal designed for the iPad and iPhone devices. The new app allows users of these devices to access complete journal content anywhere, anytime and for a limited time, without charge. "The CHEST Journal app is distinctive because it allows access to full-text content within the app while also containing most of the features of the Web site," said John Sack, HighWire's Director. "In addition to the clean smartphone interface, the iPad version was crafted specifically for the tablet device, with an attractive two-column design. With the development of this new app, HighWire's mobile strategy is taking our publishing partners into new dimensions." Early reviews on the iTunes store are very positive, with over 5000 downloads in the first 2 weeks.
