COUNTER3 Usage Statistics and More at the OSA Library Resource Center

Please excuse cross-posting.

Dear Colleagues:

OSA - The Optical Society is pleased to announce the launch of
our new OSA Library Resource Center at
<http://www.osa.org/librarians>. Here you will find tools to help
you manage your institution's subscriptions to OSA Journals.

>From a tools perspective, you'll now have easy access to:

*Our robust OSA Usage Report Service, providing both COUNTER
reports and supplemental OSA Custom Usage Reports, starting with
January 2010 data.

*Your complete subscription history.

*Your organizational and individual account contact information,
as well as your current IP addresses.

*Authoritative linking details and bibliographic data to maximize
discoverability and interoperability with your library's systems.

We are pleased to report that OSA's COUNTER reports are compliant
with Release 3 of the COUNTER Code of Practice, and that SUSHI
harvesting and improved reporting for consortia administrators
are hallmarks of this recent release. Monthly email alerts will
be sent to all subscribing institutions when new reports are
available.

In addition to these tools, you'll also find a wealth of
information about OSA's premiere collection of journals, products
and conference papers including:

*OSA's 2011 Journals Catalog with pricing options

*Our standard user agreement and online licensing terms

*The JCR Impact Factor and Eigenfactor data specific to OSA Journals

*OSA's customer service contact details and policies on claims,
refunds

*A list of our journal content and the dates of online coverage
for each one

*Details of the research tools available to your patrons,
including a view into the personalized My InfoBase service as
seen by end-users

*And much more...

Access instructions will be emailed directly to all librarian
contacts at institutions with current subscriptions to OSA
Journals. If you have questions about the OSA Library Resource
Center, or your institution's subscriptions to OSA Journals, feel
free to contact us at <mailto:elec@osa.org>. Please be sure to
include complete contact information for you and your library.

We hope that the OSA Library Resource Center
<http://www.osa.org/librarians> will help you better manage your
subscriptions, and that OSA Journals and the Optics InfoBase
digital library continue to support your institutions' research
and curriculum needs.

Sincerely,

Christine Orr
