The American Society for Microbiology (www.journals.asm.org) Announces Prices for 2011 Subscription Year 2011 subscription prices for the 12 journals published by the American Society for Microbiology are now available. A complete list can be found at: http://journals.asm.org/subscriptions/instcost.dtl. Note that subscriptions include access to accepted research papers up to 12 weeks before final publication. All online subscribers will have access to ASM's new open-access journal, mBio(tm) (http://mbio.asm.org). By including mBio(tm) (ISSN: 2150-7511) in your collection, you demonstrate your commitment to making microbiology research widely accessible. If your institution subscribes to other ASM journals, you will automatically be provided with usage statistics for mBio(tm). ASM introduced new online journal features in 2010 designed to improve the user experience, for example, the following: *PowerPoint downloading of figures with complete with legends and citations. *Email-a-Friend. *RSS feeds, including Current Issue, Accepted Articles, and Section feeds. *"Similar articles in ASM journals" link. *Commenting at the article level for mBio ASM subscriptions continue to offer you COUNTER compliant usage statistics; straightforward and fair licensing terms that allow unlimited concurrent usage; long-term archiving via LOCKSS; and email-based alerting systems. If your institution did not subscribe to any online ASM journals in 2010, you are eligible for a free 3-month trial subscription to all 12 ASM journals.
