Liverpool University Press Pricing 2011 Liverpool University Press is pleased to announce a brand new, more flexible pricing policy for journals in 2011, including the addition of an 'Online Only' subscription option. Also on offer will be a 'Premium Backfile' subscription option for our most established journals, Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, International Development Planning Review, and Town Planning Review, giving current subscribers full access to the complete electronic archive of these journals. This premium package will allow subscribers to access 100 years of TPR, including some defining articles in planning history, 30 years of IDPR and the entire backfile of BHS from 1923 to the present day. The 'Print and Online' subscription option will still be available, for those libraries who wish to retain a print copy of our journals. For UK institutional 'Print and Online' subscriptions, VAT will be levied on 40% of the subscription price (for example, if the VAT rate is 17.5% then librarians should add VAT at 7% (17.5% of 40%) to the total 'Print and Online' rate). This change in policy has come about in response to librarian requests, and LUP's recent rapid expansion, now publishing 14 scholarly journals and around 45 new books per annum across the arts and humanities. In 2010 LUP became the latest publisher to launch journals electronic content management and hosting services via the MetaPress platform, offering much improved functionality including Table of Contents (TOC) alerting, RSS feeds, pay per view single article purchase option, COUNTER usage statistics and CrossRef membership. LUP is a member of both Portico and LOCKSS, not for profit services committed to the preservation of digital publications, including e-journals, e-books, and digitised history collections. For standard 'Online Only'/'Print and Online' subscriptions, post-cancellation access (i.e. retained online access to the subscribed years) will be provided on the LUP MetaPress platform and/or through Portico/LOCKSS. We are delighted to be able to further enhance the user experience for libraries and individual users. Full pricing details for 2011 will be available on the Liverpool University Press Metapress site: http://liverpool.metapress.com/ CLARE HOOPER JOURNALS EXECUTIVE, LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY PRESS
