The ALCTS Continuing Resources Section College and Research Libraries Interest Group (CRS C&RL IG) requests presentation proposals for our Annual Meeting in DC on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10:30am-12:00pm. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: - Withdrawing print when libraries also have online access - Distributed print repositories - Coping with hard economic times in continuing resources acquisitions and collection management - Pay per view pricing for journal articles and new models of acquisitions - Continuing resources cataloging - Next generation OPACs and continuing resources displays - Other topics? Each presentation should be approximately 20 minutes. There will be time for discussion. Please e-mail proposals by *May 26, 2010* to Rebecca Kemp (rkemp<at>email<dot>unc<dot>edu). Also, just a reminder to send in your nominations by THIS FRIDAY, 4/30/2010 for the new Chair-Elect: Here's your chance to help provide continuing education on Continuing Resources! The ALCTS Continuing Resources Section College & Research Libraries Interest Group seeks a new Chair-Elect to serve starting after ALA Annual 2010. The new Chair-Elect will help to solicit and plan sessions for the semiannual ALA conferences, and he or she will also attend these sessions at the conferences. This position serves as Chair-Elect for the first year of the term and Chair the second year. This interest group is a lot of fun to lead and relatively low maintenance. Please contact me (rkemp<at>email.unc.edu) or Beth (Beth_Bernhardt<at>uncg.edu) if you have any questions about becoming a leader.
