Press release 10 December For immediate release Scholarly Communications Report will continue publishing Earlier this year it was announced that SCR would close, but we are delighted to announce that it will be continuing into 2010 - and hopefully beyond. PSP Consultancy is acquiring the title with effect from January 2010 and will ensure that the newsletter continues to deliver a digest of all that is new and influential in scholarly publishing to keep you up to date with key industry developments. The newsletter will be written and edited by Pippa Smart. This is a tremendous period of upheaval for scholarly communication and a huge amount of opinion and news is published daily; the aim of SCR is to summarise this in a format that busy professionals can quickly digest and which will help to inform their decisions and business. Each month the newsletter selects key new items and provides a concise summary with its implications for commercial, society and academic publishers, intermediaries and subscription agents as well as library managers responsible for print and electronic resource provision. *About SCR* The newsletter was established in 1996 and was written and edited by David Brown and Albert Prior, both of whom will remain on the Editorial Board. It is published at the end of each month (with a combined July/August issue), and provided in print and online. See the website. www.screport.info Renewal notices for 2010 will be sent out shortly, and in light of the current market and the change to the newsletter we are holding the rates at the 2009 levels.
