Phil Davis just ran an interesting experiment that he reported on at the
Scholarly Kitchen blog:

Davis created a fictitious (and amusing) article on phrenology and submitted
it to the Bentham publishing company, which has an author-pays OA model.
Studying the process is illuminating, and also will trigger a couple laughs.


Sooner or later we will see our next Sokal.
