** with apologies for cross-posting ** Wiley has released their 2008 Annual Report. 2008 was a fine year for Wiley - in their page to their shareholders, Wiley talks about a 36% increase in revenue in 2008, up to $1.7 billion from $1 billion in 2007. It is excellent to see a scholarly publisher in such excellent financial shape, especially when first among their overarching goals is "Building long-term relationships with our customers". With so many libraries hard-hit by the financial crisis, will Wiley be quick to step up to the plate and lower prices for all? This would do wonders for their long-term relationships with customers!
