A Scientific Commons search now exceeds 20 million items! http://www.scientificcommons.org/ Congratulations, Scientific Commons! Other Scientific Commons stats: over 8 million authors, 911 repositories. If this is OA in the early days when self-archiving is new and growth is slow - what will the numbers look like in a few years when all those OA mandates have their impact, and self-archiving becomes just a natural step in all disciplines (just as it already is in high energy physics)? Any opinion expressed in this e-mail is that of the author alone, and does not reflect the opinion or policy of BC Electronic Library Network or Simon Fraser University Library.
