OUTREACH ASSOCIATE, LIBRARY RELATIONS SUMMARY: Work in an entrepreneurial environment for a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of scholarly electronic materials, located in Princeton, New Jersey. The Outreach Associate will be part of an Outreach team responsible for the promotion of the company archive and expanding library participation in its preservation service. Great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dealing with information technology, scholarly literature and the library and academic communities. Reports to the Associate Director, Library Relations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaborate with Library Relations Outreach team members to attain participation goals * Communicate mission and fee structure/rationale to global library community * Manage customer relationship management database system for Library Outreach activities * Support processes & procedures for licensing and invoicing * Educate librarians, faculty and administrators about digital preservation and company archiving service via phone, email and web-based presentations * Respond to questions submitted via email links * Guide interested libraries through participation process * Implement mailings, emails, and other types of communication to existing and target participants * Generate regular reports and statistics about library participation * Facilitate tracking and maintenance of library license agreements * Serve as primary point-of-contact with User Services * Represent organization at industry-related meetings and conferences. * Domestic travel (Estimated 10%) CRITICAL PERFORMANCE FACTORS * Work in a team environment * Flexibility with ability to rapidly adjust to shifting priorities * Meet established deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy * Professionalism QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in business, humanities or library science or equivalent required * 2-3 years experience in higher education community, not-for-profit organization, or related environment * Effective oral and written communication skills * Team oriented; ability to perform with minimal supervision and to prioritize diverse work assignments * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy * Willingness to learn and embrace new tasks * Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required. Experience with Customer Relationship Management software is preferred but not required.
