The Hammill Institute on Disabilities recently acquired the journals from previous publisher, PRO-ED, Inc. The Hammill Institute on Disabilities, a nonprofit corporation, will continue to own, publish, and manage the journals, including selection of editors and determining the overall editorial direction. This new strategic relationship between SAGE and the Hammill Institute on Disabilities significantly increases SAGE's presence in the field of special education and furthers the Hammill Institute on Disabilities' educational and scientific charitable purposes. Many of the 14 journals are affiliated with or sponsored by professional associations. The journals and their respective sponsoring associations are: 1. Assessment for Effective Intervention Council for Educational Diagnostic Services 2. Career Development for Exceptional Individuals Division on Career Development and Transition 3. Communication Disorders Quarterly Division for Communicative Disabilities and Deafness 4. Focus on Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities Division on Developmental Disabilities of the Council for Exceptional Children 5. Intervention in School and Clinic Council for Learning Disabilities 6. Journal of Disability Policy Studies Wisconsin Council of Administrators of Special Services 7. Journal of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders 8. Journal of Learning Disabilities 9. Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions Association for Positive Behavior Support 10. Journal of Special Education Division for Research of the Council for Exceptional Children 11. Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin American Rehabilitation Counseling Association 12. Remedial and Special Education 13. Topics in Early Childhood Special Education 14. Word of Mouth Subscriptions and Online Access All of the journals have been added to SAGE's recently released 2008 journal price list. As of today, institutions can order directly from SAGE or via a subscription agent. Currently available electronically on Ingenta, beginning in early 2008 all of the titles will be hosted on SAGE Journals Online (SJO), SAGE's online journal delivery platform. SAGE will also ensure backfile for each title is digitized and hosted in a timely manner. With this improved online availability, users will now be able to access the robust research published in the journals more easily using SJO's advanced features to search, browse, alert and link scholarly articles.
