*Please excuse cross-posting* Dear Colleagues: This year marks the first time that institutional subscribers have the option of receiving access to the Physics Today online backfile. In mid January, AIP began giving free trial access to this backfile to institutions that subscribe to Physics Today or one of AIP's journals, and have a valid online user license. We are now pleased to announce that this free trial will continue through May 15. No action is required to activate your trial; users at subscribing institutions have access to the PT backfile via the same IP addresses currently on file with AIP. They may begin browsing or searching at www.physicstoday.org. Please click on *Institutional Subscribers* to view the content available to your library. Physics Today subscribers can add the backfile to their 2007 subscription for an additional $200. This fee includes access to issues going back to 2000, including all but the most recent 12 issues of the magazine; current content remains a benefit to AIP Member Society subscribers. Subscribers who do not receive Physics Today in print may subscribe to the online PT backfile by itself for $300. The PT backfile is also included in the AIP Archival and AIP Archival Plus combination subscriptions. Pricing for these combination subscriptions may be found on page 4 of our 2007 Institutional Subscription Rate list at http://www.aip.org/journal_catalog/AIP2007NonmemberRateFixed.pdf We hope your users find this new online content to be an ideal complement to your current AIP holdings, and that you will consider subscribing to the Physics Today backfile. AIP plans to digitize all issues back to the magazine's launch in 1948, eventually creating a complete Physics Today digital archive. To add the PT backfile to your Physics Today subscription, or as a stand-alone product, please contact your agent or AIP at: E-mail: subs@aip.org Phone: 1-800-344-6902 (U.S. and Canada) or + 1-516-576-2270 (other locations) Fax: +1-516-349-9704 If you have any questions about Physics Today's new backfile, or your trial access, please feel free to contact AIP as indicated above.
