PRESS RELEASE Lisse, The Netherlands 11 April 2007 The world's becoming SwetsWise: Swets launches SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition Swets is proud to announce that, following a successful six-week Beta testing period, SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition is now available for all customers. SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition is the most comprehensive and sophisticated subscriptions management and procurement service currently available. It provides librarians with a single platform from which they can control subscriptions investment, improve the management of electronic journal licenses and reduce the amount of time and effort needed to manage subscriptions. Featuring improved technology and enhanced capabilities, SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition replaces the long-running and highly successful DataswetsConnect service. Key customers from the US and UK took part in the Library Edition Beta testing phase, spending the past six weeks comprehensively using and evaluating the new service. Feedback has been extremely positive. "SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition really is a big improvement over the services that I have used previously," says Paola Zandegiacomo of The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). "I like the new possibility of being able to see if we need a license for an e-journal, or if access to a new e-subscription has been granted. Also, being able to edit our order numbers live on screen and download reports immediately when needed is really very helpful and will save us a great deal of time, especially during our financial rollover." "With our SwetsWise portfolio, customers gain the simplicity of a single solution for searching, accessing, managing and evaluating all of their subscriptions," said Arie Jongejan, CEO of Swets. "SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition is the key component in that portfolio and, thanks to the enthusiastic response from our Beta testers, we are thrilled to offer this new and exciting service to our customers." Key features of SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition include full claim functionality for both electronic and print subscriptions, as well as downloadable online reports. Clear status reports on e-licenses are also available, providing invaluable information for customers. Later this year, Swets will add further information on e-licenses and include new functionalities related to its Consolidation service into the Library Edition. Swets will migrate existing DataswetsConnect customers to the new service in the coming months. New customers can order SwetsWise Subscriptions Library Edition immediately.
