Thomas Jefferson University Electronic Collections and Document Delivery Librarian Thomas Jefferson University, a health sciences institution, seeks an energetic and experienced individual to fill its position of Electronic Collections and Document Delivery Librarian. The Electronic Collections and Document Delivery Librarian plans, implements, manages and evaluates the operational aspects of serials and electronic resources and oversees the daily operation of interlibrary loan activity. As a key member of the Collection Management staff, the person in this position evaluates existing services, plans and develops new services, and supervises three technicians. The ECDDL serves on the Library's management team and reports to the Director of Collection Management. The Scott Library is a unit of AISR, which is focused on the development and transmission of knowledge resources for the university and its hospitals. AISR develops educational software, manages three public access computer labs, a simulation center, media production services and has responsibility for the learning infrastructure of the University. Located in the center of Philadelphia, Thomas Jefferson University is comprised of: Jefferson Medical College (one of the ten oldest and largest medical colleges in the country), Jefferson College of Graduate Studies (offering masters and doctoral programs in biomedical sciences and public health), and Jefferson College of Health Professions (offering programs in nursing, physical and occupation therapy, and lab sciences). Its main campus includes Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, a major teaching hospital with over 700 residents/fellows and significant clinical research. It is close to important historical and cultural institutions. In addition to the main campus, the Scott Library maintains service agreements with several other hospitals within the region. A minimum of three years professional managerial experience in serials librarianship (preferably in an academic environment) using automated library systems and related databases (e.g. OVID, OCLC), proven organizational abilities, and effective oral and written communication skills. Must have a strong commitment to service. Salary minimum: $45,000. Excellent benefits package.
