Maria, This reference applies to consortial deals in particular. The survey primarily analysed online journals rather than e-books. I can tell you that of the publishers surveyed with consortia packages available, 20.4% included other materials such as e-books, reference works and data sets in their offerings to consortia. Of all of the publishers offering packages specifically for library consortia, 13.9% are now using usage as part of the method for determining pricing. If you would like further information do let me know off list. Does anyone know any? I read in the Executive Summary of the recent ALPSP survey > http://www.alpsp.org/publications/SPP2summary.pdf that some publishers are experimenting pricing models based on usage. Does it refer only to e-book market? What about e-journals? Sincerely, Maria Cassella Maria Cassella Universite degli studi di Torino e-mail: maria.cassella@unito.it
