Journal of Applied Physics
The Journal of Chemical Physics
Journal of Physical & Chemical Reference Data (co-published with NIST)
Journal of Mathematical Physics
Low Temperature Physics
Physics of Fluids
Physics of Plasmas
Physics Today
Review of Scientific Instruments

Prices are also now available for the following package subscription options:

AIP Archival
AIP Archival Plus
Physics of Fluids/Physics of Plasmas

Please note that all prices are subject to change.

There are also several new offerings and important developments we'd like to
alert you to.

Physics Today Offers Online Access to Institutions

Physics Today subscribers will have the option to access an
online backfile with their 2007 subscription for an additional
US$200 fee. Institutional subscribers who choose this option will
have access from 2001 to all but the most recent 12 months of the
magazine; current contents remain a benefit to member
subscribers. The PT backfile is included in the AIP Archival and
AIP Archival Plus combination subscriptions; the backfile is also
available as a separate online-only subscription. AIP plans to
digitize all issues back to the magazine's launch in 1948,
eventually creating a complete Physics Today digital archive.

AIP to Launch First Open Access Journal by January 2007

AIP introduces Biomicrofluidics, the first title in its new
series, AIP Access X-Press. This will be a series of Open Access,
online-only journals, featuring rapid publication times.

Two AIP Journals Offer Selected Content in Separate Formats

Beginning in January 2007, JCP: Biochemical Physics will provide,
in an online-only format, all articles from the Journal of
Chemical Physics (JCP) that focus on biochemical-related topics.
Applied Physics Reviews, long a distinct section within Journal
of Applied Physics (JAP), will also have separate online-only
distribution in 2007. (Subscribers to JCP and JAP will continue
to receive all this content with their regular subscriptions.)
Applied Physics Reviews includes a backfile of review articles
back to 1980.

New Topical Collections Available from AIP Conference Proceedings

Previously available only as print standing orders, the topical
subseries within the AIP Conference Proceedings program will now
be available as separate online-only subscriptions. Subseries
include Accelerators and Beams; Astronomy & Astrophysics; Atomic,
Molecular, and Optical Physics; Nuclear & High Energy Physics,
Mathematical and Statistical Physics; Plasma Physics; and
Materials Physics & Applications. Each series includes all
published content from 2000 to the present.

AIP Revises Tiered Pricing System

In 2007, AIP will move to a six-tier pricing system, in part to
reduce the large price differences between the highest tiers in
the current system. Some accounts from Tier 4 will be moved to
the new Tier 5, while all accounts previously in Tier 5 will be
relabeled as the new Tier 6. Librarians at affected institutions
will be notified directly.

Backfile Enhancements

Reference links are being added to the backfiles of AIP archival
journals. In 2007, all abstracts back to 1991 will include these
links to cited articles.

If you have a question regarding your institution's AIP tier
assignment, or about the prices posted, please contact
subs@aip.org or call 1-800-344-6902.

We look forward to serving you in the new subscription year.

Best regards,
