Chronicle of Higher Education News Blog * June 26, 2006 http://chronicle.com/news/article/623/geology-papers-to-be-published-in- britain-after-being-blocked-by-us-rule Two geology papers rejected by an American journal because of a federal rule will be published in a British journal. This spring two petroleum-geology papers got stuck in a morass of government regulations. After having received acceptance notifications from AAPG Bulletin, a peer-reviewed journal of the American Association of Petroleum Geology, the papers were rejected because the authors had indirect ties to the Iranian government (The Chronicle, April 20).
