Wiley Launches IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic
Engineering

Hoboken, N.J., June 19, 2006 -- Global publisher John Wiley &
Sons, Inc., today announced the launch of IEEJ Transactions on
Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the official journal of
the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ). The launch
marks a new agreement between Wiley and IEEJ to publish the
flagship journal both in print and online via Wiley InterScience
(www.interscience.wiley.com), Wiley's dynamic online publishing
platform.

IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a
peer-reviewed journal that publishes six times a year and
contains original research papers and review articles on the most
important and latest technological advances in core areas of
electrical and electronic engineering and related disciplines.
The journal also publishes short communications reporting on the
results of the latest findings from researchers in Japan and
around the world.

To fully cover the wide range of disciplines represented by the
journal, IEEJ's five technical societies are responsible for
editing one issue per year. These societies include: Fundamentals
and Materials; Power and Energy; Electronics, Information and
Systems; Industry Applications; and Sensors and Micromachines.

As an official journal of IEEJ, IEEJ Transactions on Electrical
and Electronic Engineering also provides reports on important
conferences and meetings sponsored by the Institute.

Complementary online access is available to institutions in 2006
and 2007 for IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic
Engineering. For more information on how to subscribe, or to
obtain more information about the journal, please visit

About Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan

Founded in 1888, the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan
(IEEJ) is a membership organization of scholars and engineers. A
society with a long history of more than a century, its
membership today exceeds 28,000 people. As part of its mission,
IEEJ seeks innovation and encourages enterprising activities from
all its members. IEEJ receives participation and support from
various groups, including students who put their hearts into
learning electrical science, as well as scholars and engineers at
the forefront of universities and companies. In 1991, IEEJ
adopted a society system that stimulates general activities and
encourages research within distinct specialties. IEEJ supports
the scientific community through the activities and studies of
electrical science engineers, and through the presentation of
research from an international point of view. For more
information about IEEJ, please visit www.iee.or.jp/english.
