15th June 2006 London (UK), Michigan (US), Philadelphia (US), Carolina (US) US Consortia choose ScholarlyStats from MPS Technologies to help them analyze their usage statistics This month three major US Consortia have decided to provide ScholarlyStats to their member libraries. Libraries within the Michigan Library Consortium (MLC), PALINET and the Carolina Consortium will now have access to the usage statistics collection and consolidation service from MPS. Following its launch in January this year, ScholarlyStats has been adopted by libraries across the globe to assist them with the valuable analysis of the usage statistics provided by many vendors. While usage statistics represent a fantastic resource for libraries, the subsequent challenge has been the frustrating and time-consuming collection and standardization of this data. ScholarlyStats removes this problem, delivering standardized and consolidated journal and database usage reports covering 35 major vendors. Information professionals at libraries within the MLC, PALINET and the Carolina Consortium will now benefit from being able to quickly access more usable data through the user-friendly ScholarlyStats portal. Jayne Marks, CEO, of MPS Technologies said: "The speed of uptake of ScholarlyStats is increasing rapidly. We developed ScholarlyStats with information professionals in response to their needs, and we are delighted that many more libraries will now be able to receive these benefits."
